Yes, the latest version of the gallery extension (get it from SVN or here) has an imgbeg and imgend parameter, to do this..

Code: Select all
[[gallery popup="fancybox" imgbeg="1" imgend="1"]]

Hi,
Previously I used imgbeg and imgend successfully to only show one image instead of all the images in the gallery. But since I upgraded the fancybox extension + pivotx, it doesn't seem to work anymore. This is the code I use:
Code: Select all
<div class="gallery">
  [[gallery popup="fancybox" imgbeg="1" imgend="1"]]
    <a href='%imageurl%%filename%' class="fancybox" title="%title%" rel="gallery-%uid%" >
    <img src="%pivotxurl%includes/timthumb.php?src=%filename%&w=75&h=75&zc=1" alt="%alttext%" />
    </a>
  [[/gallery]]
  </div>

I am no expert on this, I learn by trial & error, and this seems to be an error I can't solve on my own... Anybody knows what's going wrong?
Thanks so much,

Tessa

What version of Fancybox and Pivotx are you using? The latest Fancybox version needs PivotX 2.2 which contains the new JQuery files. You can check by looking at the beginning of file snippet_fancybox.php where the required version is displayed.
The PivotX version can be deduced by looking in your Dashboard at the bottom left corner.

That was fast!
Fancybox: Version: 0.11
PivotX: 2.0.2.
According to the snippet_fancybox.php file this should be the right version...

That's correct. But you stated that you upgraded pivotx as well? So why are you still on 2.0.2? Because 2.1.2 is the latest version and 2.0.2 is rather old.....
You can also wait until 2.2 (which is beta right now) is finalized so you are sure all versions and changes are in sync.
You can also try 2.2 right away but remember that it is still beta!

I just realized I did something wrong with the upgrade (picked an old zipfolder instead of the latest version...), am installing PivotX 2.1.2 right now! Let's see if it works!

edit: hurray! Thanks Harm, for pointing out my mistake. Will keep in mind that syncing is important :)

That's very important. And with extensions it is even harder...... glad to hear that it is working again!
