Hierarchical Menus extension

Postby hansfn » Sun Aug 15, 2010 9:28 pm

This is the discussion topic for the Hierarchical Menus extension.

Visit http://extensions.pivotx.net/entry/33/menu for more info or download.

22-2-2012: The extension's active file contained no identifier so a new minor version (1.0.1) is released correcting this. This new version will not show up on the dashboard as a new version. Every one is encouraged to download this new version through the link above.

21-11-2013: A new version (1.1) has been released! It fixes the problem that level 3 and onwards weren't created correctly, introduces subcounter and includes a sample css to show what styling can do.

Hi,

I've just installed pivotx and added this extension.
But it couldn't work with Big 5 Chinese (character name/title). Is there any solution?

Actually, I need to have a menu that can organize my entries by category and sub-category.
Like this:

Could this extension work like that?

Hi,
I have modified this extension with a new option,
you can enable it with : use_link_option="false"
in your template and add in class this variable %linkclass%
now if you write no_link in subtitle of page in your menu the class of page is 'nolink' and the url link is current page.
if you write follow_link:thenTheLinKThatYouWant in subtitle of page a link in menu is the link indicate in subtitle ( you can use also for mailto )

coming soon a exemple in my website

The Hierarchical Menus extension is works like a dropdown menu.
Can i separate the submenu from the menu, so i can include the submenu in another part of the website, for example the sidebar.

MENU
[menuoption1 - menuoption2 - menuoption3 - menuoption4 - menuoption5]

And then in the Sidebar you would get a list:
[submenu of menuoption1] OR [submenu of menuoption2] OR ...

Instead of a dropdown menu what is the standard solution in the Hierarchical Menus extension.

Thx

I'm happy to announce version 1.0.2: The extension now works in jQuery noconflict mode that is used in newer PivotX version. No new functionality.

A new version (1.1) has been released! It fixes the problem that level 3 and onwards weren't created correctly, introduces subcounter and includes a sample css to show what styling can do. See changelog included with the zip file for further enhancements.
