it works partially!
The output is:
Code: Select all
<div class="sidebar-block">
    <p class="pivotx-wrapper"><a href="http://epub02.publitas.com/spar/32/magazine.php" class="fancyframe" title="Thumb and Iframe" rel="entry-01607832169" ><img src="/images/aanbieding.thumb.png" alt="aanbieding.png" title="Thumb and Iframe" class="pivotx-popupimage" width="225px" height="50px" /></a></p>
</div>

But /images/aanbieding.thumb.png doesn't exits.

What is your template code and where is the original image located?

And also check whether the thumbnail can be created by using the same image in an ordinary popup.

There is also a possibility that you have a version of timthumb.php in your installation that breaks the creation of thumbnails (that was in the files for a short time). So be absolutely sure download the latest zip version from unstable development: http://pivotx.net/files/unstable-development/

It works.
I've made a normal photo popup with a thumbnail. Fancybox uses that thumbnail now for my iFrame.
Just one more thing..... ;)
The thumbnail gets a giant margin. How can i reset this?

By redefining or adding the classes used within the thumbnail (<p> or <img>). I think they are both in pivotx essentials.css. Remember that this css file is part of the core so can be replaced. Better copy the code to your own css.

I have a few observations regarding Fancybox. It is mainly things that I find more or less peculiar or possible reasons for confusion/frustration, so I wonder, if somebody needs to know. Some of the things may not have to do with Fancybox directly by the way.

1. the order of parameters - does that really matter? (I mean, is it supposed to matter?) What I found is this. If I write:

Code: Select all
[[popup file="2011-11/bild1.png" description="(thumbnail)" title="null" align="left" ]]

I get no title on the image. But if I write:

Code: Select all
[[popup file="2011-11/bild1.png" description="(thumbnail)" align="left" title="null" ]]

the image gets the title "null".

2. If I copy a part of the code in the editor, I often get a problem. E.g. I have a number of pictures on a page and I dont want any titles on them. So I insert the images, go to the editor and copy/paste title="null" from one image to the other. In many cases this does not work. Then I take a look at the html and find that the parameters are now separated with non-breaking spaces (&nbsp;) instead of normal spaces, and this prevents fancybox from interpreting the parameters.

3. I am in a proces of changing from Firefox to Chrome as my primary browser. Now I found that I can not upload any images for PivotX popups. The upload-function simply does not work. But if I copy/upload the pictures manually to the images-folder on the server, I can make a PivotX-popup with the choose-image function.

The order of the parms shouldn't matter. I'll investigate why it goes wrong with your sample.

The second problem you mention has nothing to do with Fancybox but with the editor you are using. There are several editors to use all with their own peculiarities. This is one of them I'm afraid.

The third problem also has nothing to do with Fancybox. I think there are still open posts about upload problems. Please take a look at them and try the suggestions there. Also you need to have the latest files because some problems were recently fixed.

Well, the editor I am using is the one build into PivotX admin ;)

As far as I can see, it does not happen in Firefox though; but i have seen it in Internet Explorer, Chrome and Safari.

Maybe you didn't notice but per user you can select one of several editors. You'll find it in Your info.
You now probably use the default editor called Wysiwyg.
