Hans,

Just an other question, why is it that when i look at the created link it goes to #comm ? how can i change that to the top of the entrie?
Just look at http://www.musical-info.nl at "meest bekeken" and see is for your selves.

And when i check the "count" with result from Google it does not give the same results,
for the entrie De Producers in Gent: Kort maar krachtig - ( 240 ) - Video reportage for the last 7 days. But when i look at googleanalytics it give for the entrie ( posted a 3 feb.) 304 unique pagesviews and 330 views. (over the period from 1 til 7 februari) Can you explain the difference between the resuts of the extention and Google analytics?

greetings,

Gerard

The extension is using the function makeFileLink without any of the optional parameters and hence you get the default link that points to the comments.

No, I can't explain the difference. Maybe the extension author has an idea.

Statistics from various statistics never match up. It's too hard in most cases.

The extension remembers in your session if you visited a particular page and only counts it the first time you visit it. Google has no such luxury of knowing when the session ends so will either always count every visit a person makes to the page (even the person already visited it a few minutes ago), or it fakes it's own 'session' and discards any visits within X minutes (or so) of the same page. These small differences usually account for the differences you see in statistics sources.

Also, hitcounter remembers statistics for the last 14 days and 30 days (without the current day I think) and usually Google remembers a whole complete month I think.

@marcelfw

Is it possible to set the link not to the #comm section but tot the top off the page?

Greetings,

Gerard

Just updated the extension on the site. It should no longer default to '#comm'. Or better said, it overrides the PivotX default '#comm' to ''.

Would it be possible to show a Bonus Field image next to the title from HitCounter? Tried a couple things, I guess these extensions don't work together... Should investigate because it would make HitCounter a lot more attractive to use.

Can't you just call a [[getpage]] or a [[getentry]] and then get the extrafields?

Nah, looking to get HitCounter to show the image that belongs to the popular entries..

UPDATE: My bad, I didn't look hard enough for the [[getentry]] part. I hadn't included [[getentry uid=$topitem.uid var='topentry']], now it works fine! :)

Did I overlook an option, or is it impossible to exclude entries from hidden categories to be listed by hitcounter?
