I've looked at http://musical-info.nl/ and in the header I see:
Code: Select all
<meta name="keywords" content="albert verlinde avro biografie broadway cd chantal janzen chicago ciske de rat dirty dancing efteling film footloose freek bartels hairspray interview joseph les misérables londen mary poppins musical op zoek naar joseph pia douwes première recensie simone kleinsma sunset boulevard tarzan the sound of music west end william spaaij Musical Recensie fotoreportage video reportage amateur auditie" />
   <meta name="author" content="eigenaar" />
   <meta name="copyright" content="© 2006-2012   All rights reserved. Niets van deze website mag worden overgenomen of gebruikt zonder schriftelijke toestemming van Musical-Info.nl. " />
<title>
        Musical-Info
    </title>

 <meta name="description" content="Musical-Info.nl & .be, Dé musicalsite voor Nederland en Vlaanderen in tekst en beeld!" />
So I guess the information is there. Are we talking about different things? (I am wondering about the peculiar meta for author.....)

I cannot figure out why SEO extension is not working at my case: http://www.modelina-architekci.com (PivotX 2.2.3, SEO Extension 0.4)

Extension is installed, SEO options are configured and there is no meta description and meta keywords in my final html output at all.

Docs says nothing on this matter, so I am asking here: shall I put any code to my templates to make this lovely item work?

You do not need special code in your templates to make this extension work.
Perhaps you should first upgrade both your PivotX (2.2.3 is rather old) and the extension itself (to version 0.5) and try again?
The fastest way you would see results is if you set some extra tags in the configuration of SEO.

First, Harm10: thanks for your guidance 8-)

I’ve upgraded both PivotX and SEO extension to the latest edition available. Rebuilt the indexes. The website which I am experiencing such issue relies on flatfiles.

And now… SEO global meta informations are NOT displaying on the site. The extension is working correctly ONLY when I set the meta information for individual entries/pages. Strange!

I just set up a new flat filed 2.3.6 PivotX together with SEO extension and the set keywords in the config are shown correctly in the web page source.
So could you please re-check?

Thanks again, Harm!

After re-checking things I noticed that default keywords are not displayed through the site. The final output shows only an extra keywords part of SEO ext part.

As the information (blue dot) states the default keywords are only used on web pages that are not single entries or pages. So for example your front page. My default keyword is correctly shown there.
