Thread for the Nivoslider extension: http://extensions.pivotx.net/entry/51/nivoslider.

The Nivoslider extension makes it possible to insert a Nivoslider (http://nivo.dev7studios.com/) slideshow to your pages. Almost all of Nivosliders options can be used. The slider will automatically find images in a folder that you specify in your templates. You can use the standard styling, or write your own CSS.

*** New version released: 0.12 with a lot of enhancements ***

This is a stripped down version, but very beautiful. I want to text (including HTML) to the images and can link individual images. When does the update do?

I was not planning on a future update, but the modifications you request are not very hard to make. I'm not sure how proficient you are in PHP, but with a little bit of knowledge you'd be able to do it yourself, maybe?

If you're interested in customizing it, but don;t have the knowledge, you can send an e-mail to the author of the extension :)

Then I will do me well to work and change the extension bit.

A little demo: http://89.247.45.60/. Online until tomorrow morning. HTML is not possible. Image with caption "Genau das wollten wir vermeiden!" is linked.

But that's you! :?:
The original author already incorporated captions................ you didn't add that feature?
Maybe you could review Samson's changes and submit a new version? I think others would like this feature too!

Hi there,

Trying the new nivoslider here: http://www.pimhorvers.nl/page/recent
But something seems to go wrong with the css file. It's still in the original location.
In the page is written:
[[ nivoslider path = "images/recent" cssFile = "pivotx/extensions/nivoslider/nivo-slider.css" orderby = "date_asc" caption = 1 ]]

Anyone can help me out/any advise to give.
Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,
Pim

The problem is that you have installed pivotx in a subdirectory "page".

Maybe
Code: Select all
[[ nivoslider path = "images/recent" cssFile = "page/pivotx/extensions/nivoslider/nivo-slider.css" orderby = "date_asc" caption = 1 ]]

works?
