are there already Flickr extensions available for PivotX ? Just a customized number of pictures from your Flickr account in the sidebar or so

Hans

Ah... yes....

When I want to use a picture from Flickr in a post I have to do the following steps:
- go to flickr and find pic
- change to "all sizes"
- choose "small"
- go to blabla/pivot
- new pots
- type something
- change to HTML
- change back

easier would be to be able to just paste the code. even more easier would be to be able to blog from Flickr using
MetaWeblogAPI which I couldn't get to work for me yet.

Well, I tested again and it does indeed work in PivotX - see my two Flickr tests posts (to be remove without notice) inmy dev/test blog.

Some things to check:
1) You have enabled XML-RPC in the config?
2) You are selecting MetaWeblogAPI Enabled Blog in Flickr?
3) You are giving the correct end point - example.org/pivot/metaweblog.php

Well.. thanks to Hans, it was proven that PivotX DOES indeed work with Flickr. In case it doesn't: delete the settings (in Flickr) and start over.

BUT

Your post will appear in ALL categories. This is a short-coming in the Flickr implementation. All other clients using the Metaweblog API (ScribeFire, Windows Live Writer and so), enables you to select which categories in a weblog to post to. I don't understand how Flickr could leave that part out. The (ugly) work-around is to hard-code the category in the function pivot_new_post ...
