PHP error during installation procedure

Postby fabrix » Wed Jun 01, 2011 2:55 pm

Hi all

I've just downloaded the PivotX 2.2.6 zip file, installed it onto a small, portable, local, Apache instance running PHP 5.2.6 and tried to configure the CMS.
After having selected the "Flat Files" option on the first page and pressed the "continue" button, I received the following PHP error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in Y:\...\modules\module_search.php on line 216

Any suggestion?

Best regards

1) To be sure, I tested a fresh install myself and could not reproduce the issue (on my Linux server).
2) The error indicates that the directory pivotx/db/search/ is missing - is it?

Thank you for your replay.

Unfortunately the directory pivotx/db/search exists and contains one single file: filtered_words.txt

Ok, sorry, finally I found the error: the dir() function was configured as disabled into the "php.ini".
Now pivotx goes through without problems.

Thank you for the hint.
