no rss and atomic feeds

Postby vera4u » Fri Jun 15, 2012 8:32 am

Hello,
I searched the forum for equal difficulties.
As I found none, here a strange post.
My PivotX is in a subdomain (http://nws.wulffraat.nl) )and it works fine, accept for the rss and atomic feeds.
This was never an issue in the 'old' pivot and I am not sure what I did wrong.
This is where I would like to see the feeds;

But they ar not.

The feed I need is for FB/RSS Graffiti 2.0.

Thank you,
Vera

As far as I know you do not need to specify an URL when the RSS is in the same domain. So please try with cleared URL fields.
Quality is in the detail of things............

Want to change or update your PivotX site? Mail or PM me!
I can also convert your site to a Wordpress site!

I will. Thank you. I did it because the pivotx is in a subdomain.

Thanks,

PivotX doesn't generate and save static files - it's all dynamic. If you need the feed URLs for consumption outside PivotX, just read the documentation.

PS! You can also get the feed URLs by right clicking the feed buttons in your blog.

That is not doing the trick.
No feeds.
Is there a way/workaround to force pivotx to make feeds?

Thank you,

I think I did :?

This feed was generated without me knowing it, after I installed PivotX in http://wulffraat.nl/ and I tried out to post a message
Because I had troubles merging Pivot 1 and PivotX in PivotX I installed PivotX from scratch in a subdomain; http://nws.wulffraat.nl/

After that no more feeds were generated.

    I did what you suggested;
    - I've read the documentation, but I felt I didn't had tot do anything with it because I got feed(s) before.....
    - Right clicking the feed buttons didn't do anything at all. Left clicking only made a, for me, strange file; http://nws.wulffraat.nl/index.php?feed=rss
Yes, I'm pretty sure I read your answer.

Thanks,
Vera

http://nws.wulffraat.nl/index.php?feed=rss

is the feed URL. It works. (Feeding it to Google Reader display several posts from your blog.) What is the real problem here?

The real problem is that the filename that RSS Graffiti used to publish an entry from PivotX to Facebook with in Pivot 1 was the filename and path that I enterred in;
http://wulffraat.nl/pivot/index.php?menu=admin&func=admin&do=blog_edit3(RSS en Atom Configuratie), which was rcc.xml
Image

So, not knowing better, I also thought this was the way to get it right in Pivot 2;
http://nws.wulffraat.nl/pivotx/index.php?page=weblogedit&weblog=weblog(XML-feeds), which I thought also should be rcc.xml
That's the problem.

Thank you,
Vera

Well,

http://nws.wulffraat.nl/index.php?feed=rss does feed my husbands facebook, although I do not understand how it works that only the first entry from that file is being processed. As far as I know it's very different from Pivot 1.
I also don't understand the purpose of http://nws.wulffraat.nl/pivotx/index.ph ... (XML-feeds)

Thank you for your time and input,
Vera
