Subdomains in Bolt

Postby sportpal » Tue Oct 30, 2012 5:10 am

I noticed you are using http://docs.bolt.cm/ subdomain for documentation pages. I guess it adds onto Templates and Routes idea. Some insights and inclusion into documentation would be good. It is nice to see it is possible and a great feature to have. Did you create docs contenttype and if so how was it done instead of http://example.org/pages or http://example.org/entries route.

Thanks and and truly Sophisticated, lightweight & simple CMS

Hi,

Subdomains are not supported in Bolt. And i don't think they will be, because it would go against the whole "simple" motto. "docs.bolt.cm" and "bolt.cm" are in fact two different sites.

If you really, really want one setup, you can 'hack' your .htaccess to rewrite 'subdomain.example.org" to "example.org/subdomain" and use that to serve the other part of your site.
