More than one author?

For our group weblog amsterdamcentraal.nl I sometimes need to mention two authors as writers of the article. But I noticed I can only select one author. Sometimes I use the guest author account for that. We have a special line to fill in the name of the guest author, so that also makes it possible to fill in two authors. But the disadvantage is, that in that case the article doesn't show up on their member pages.
Being a rather common situation to have more than one author, why isn't it possible to select more than one author in the drop down list?

Because the files/tables are designed that way.

But why don't you introduce an extrafield called co-author and add a subweblog on the member page to select all content made by a certain co-author?
