Setting Date Help

I would like some help as to how I can edit the date.
I've gone to the "Date/Time tab in the "Configuration" page, but no matter what I edit, I can't seem to get it to update and display on the weblog front page.
Any and all assistance would be gratefully appreciated.

The display on a page is governed by the settings in the template of your theme.
What theme are you using and did you edit the templates?

I'm creating my own theme.
The testing URL is http://nshc.com.au/pivotx/?w=weblog
I think I'm almost there, I just need to work out how to tweak a few things.
Like editing the CSS for the search box, adding dropdown options (ie a menu) for categories, tags and archives to the frontpage.
Given as I've only used PivotX for a few hours, I'm pretty happy with the progress I've made so far.

If you are creating your own theme....... did you look at the documentation (and example) for the date tag?
