dutch localization for urls

Postby vandenb » Thu Feb 27, 2014 8:13 pm

Hi,

I'm making a Dutch blog, and I'd like to change the /archive/-part in my url to /archief/.
I'm pretty sure a previous version of Pivot had that option... Or anyway, a rule in the .htaccess.

Is there a way I can handle this now?

Cheers,
Walter

Looks like a pretty straighforward rewriterule to me.
You are using the example.htaccess file?
Experiment with that file (probably at the end of the file).
Quality is in the detail of things............

Well, pretty straightforward is still pretty hard for some people :-)
Changing archive to archief isn't hard in the .htaccess, but pivotx still makes *links* to urls with /archive/ then, doesn't it? What do you do in pivotx?

The created links will indeed contain the string archive but as soon as they get clicked the URL will change to archief due to the rewriterule or not?

But I am wondering why you only specify this problem. Surely the strings entry, page and weblog are unwanted too then?
I guess that if you want to change that it will be quite a challenge.........

In the advanced configuration, add the key "localised_archive_prefix" with value "archief".
