Image properties

Postby Imagebox » Thu Aug 13, 2015 7:04 pm

Hello,
I searched already the forum, but I didn't find a propper solution.
When I insert an image thru the editor, the path, title and alt properties are set.
Is it possible to create the width and height information thru pivotx pr smarty?
I have read than php or smarty could provide this information, but as a normal user I don't know how to place these variables into a code or template.
thanks, Peter

Adding an image through the editor will result in a code like this
Code: Select all
[[image file="your_image.jpg" alt="alt" title="title" ]]
if you want to set your own width and height the code needs to be changed to something like this
Code: Select all
[[image file="your_image.jpg" alt="alt" title="title" width=500 height=300 ]]

You can type this directly into your content.

hello harm, ok, I understand there is only this possibility in a manual fashion.
Would this (automatic width & height) be possibe if I provide all images for this page in one folder?
I would like to embedd the images into a html list section.
sorry for asking agin,
regards, Peter

I do not quite understand what you are trying to achieve.
Any way development for new features in PivotX has been stopped a long time ago so I wouldn't count on that.

You could try to set a class on every image and give that fixed dimensions in your css.
Otherwise you could try to create a ready made html file for all images and include that in your page with the include tag.

Hello Harm, I'm asking not for new features, I know bolt is in place.
On the other hand the documentaton is not complete, so I want to be
sure, not missing anything.
So the issue can be closed,
regards,
Peter
