Problems with the forum

I think that there are some problems with this forum. I keep getting email notices (two today) that there is a new post on the SEO-extension subject, but there's nothing new there.
Also, while logging in, I get a message that I exceeded the allowed number of login attempts. I had to solve a captcha. But it was the first time today I logged in.
Is someone trying to hack this forum?
A few days ago the forum was reacting very slowly.
Just to let you know.

I probably know the answers to 2 of your remarks.
If you get a notice about something new and it isn't there it probably was a spam entry that was deleted by one of the admins.
The slowness of some days ago was due to serverproblems at the hoster.

i've had the captcha-thing as well, after first login-attempt. it was on my computer at home, where i am not always logged in. here at work i am always logged in and there are no problems.

I know I am new here, but thought I could contribute here. The Captcha/Login issue is pretty much universal to PHPBB forums when where are a lot of bots trying to log in and failing. its just kinda how it goes.

Using OS X 10.4.11 with Safari 3.1.2: I cannot properly login to the forum. Any attempt to do something like writing a post or viewing my profile after apparently successful login immediately throws me back to the login screen.
