Content Boxes

Postby MiST3R_C0R3 » Mon Feb 08, 2010 5:31 pm

Hi @ all,

first of all: I hope you understand what i mean - my english is not the best :mrgreen:

I was looking for the right content solution for my homepage and i think i found it: PIVOTX.
But there is one thing i'm missing: On my pages i have a high amout of pages and for clearness i will seperate content in my pages with boxes. the layout of this box will be changed more times in a month so that it's difficult to copy the code for the box every time. Is it possible to include a template in a page? So that i can write in the html code of my page something like for example:

Code: Select all
{include=box_top.html?title=Title of Box}
Some information
{include=box_bottom.html}

If it's not possible, is there an easy opportunity to change the code for my oppinion?

Thank you very much,

MiST3R_C0R3,
I'm not sure whether I understood your questions. Let me guess:

You want to write some content (pages or entries) with PivotX. You want to include different "boxes" in your content. All boxes have a BoxTitle and a BoxBodyText. Boxes come in different styles, let's say BoxStyleRed, BoxStyleBlue and BoxStyleGreen.

Two options about how to implement this come to mind:

1. Write a stylesheet to define all box styles. On your page use (with HTML editor):
Code: Select all
<div class="BoxStyleRed">
<div class="BoxStyleRedTitle">BoxTitle</div>
BoxBodyText
</div>

2. Write an extension for PivotX, which does what you want.
