How can I use a custom permalink format?

Postby alexandrul.ct » Sun Jan 16, 2011 6:55 pm

Is it possible to use a custom permalink for some of my older entries? I can set the required redirection to the actual entry link, but I don't know how to replace the existing permalink.

Have a nice day,
Eduard

If you go through the dashboard to your entry edit or page edit you can edit the permalink. Is that what you mean?
Quality is in the detail of things............

The editable permalink (just under the title) is like /yyyy/mm/dd/e-custom-permalink, and the permalink shown at the bottom of the entry is like /archive/2011-m01#e1. I can manage to keep the editable permalink in the form I need, but I don't know how to customize (or disable) the permalink shown at the bottom of the entry.

Just replace [[permalink]] with [[link]] in your entry page template and you'll get what you want.
