PHP within template

Postby wooglenetwork » Thu Jun 14, 2012 2:12 pm

Hello,

I am wondering if there was a way to call an external php file within the templates. I have tried the following;

'allow_php_in_templates' to '1' in advanced configuration
the use [
] and [
] instead of <?php etc

At the moment this doesn't display anything, if this doesn't work then is there anyway of creating a extension with a smarty tag to enable this to work.

Thanks in advance.

Just coding php within the templates together with the allow option will work. But you are referring to calling an external php? Please explain that somewhat better (possibly with an example).
Quality is in the detail of things............
