Are these two features available?

I have been searching but haven't been able to find an answer regarding two features I would require.

I know you can have multiple users, my question is can new users register to post?

Can you have different categories for blog postings? Say for example I have a blog that is related to trades, I would like to have a category for roofing, one for plumbing and one for electrical etc, is that possible?

No, users can't register to become authors. You (as an admin) have to add them. People can only register as visitors.

Yes, you can assign as many categories as you want to an entry.

Thank you for your reply. I guess I could create a form for them to register and then I could add them as user.
