Can we please get the old modal windws back?

Postby Schop » Fri Feb 20, 2009 8:57 pm

I know you probably did this because you like it so much, but after upgrading to beta J from beta F, I feel I really have to ask this:

Can we please change back to the good old modal windows (it was probably Thickbox) in the backend? The 'Fancybox' might be nice to use in the front end, but I think it really stinks in the back end (no pun intended).

Edit : To prove my point, please look at this screenshot of me trying to insert an image to an entry:

Are you 100% sure that you have cleared browser and PivotX cache? Please try in another browser and so on.

Tried with another PC, cleared the cache, and it was still there. Then I disabled 'Speedy in back-end', and that solved the problem.

Thanks!

Glad they're working now..

Just for the record.. We didn't switch from Thickboxed popups, just because it looks fancier, but because of the functionality. We're using jQuery UI's modal windows, and they support resizing and modal behaviour (i.e. they don't close, when you click outside of the window, losing your changes).

I saw that Bob, and it's actually a lot better! I was just afraid somebody made the decision to go with the Fancybox stuff. Thanks!
