include file

Postby docman » Tue Jun 02, 2009 6:29 pm

Hi, I wonder if my understanding is correct on this command.

I work with template "skinny". I inserted and "include file=" tag in the _sub_sidebar.html template file. I needed to use a path:

[[include file="skinny/file.php"]]

to make it work file.php being placed in the skinny directory.the

Is my conclusion correct that the "include file=" tag regards the "templates" as its root?

This would be different from Pivot's "include:" tag's practive, where the root was the actual template's directory.

Thanks a lot.

Yes, the "templates" directory is the base for the include tag. This is actually a consequence of using Smarty (since the include tag is part of Smarty and not written specifically for PivotX) and might explain why it differs from what you are used to in Pivot.
