Nice work, Bob. Only: when I click the link to 'quick documentation' it says: 'Not a valid filename".
But for the rest it works great and it doesn't suffer from the same problem as the twitter button (that loses count in Firefox).
If you read Dutch, you read Verbal Jam.
Lack of documentation makes even the best program useless...

I wonder if it is possible a adjust the width and height options just as in the facebook extention. I want to make them both the same size. Or is there an other way to adjust that?

I saw it working on the following page :
http://www.froot.nl/posttype/froot/image/onderzetters-voor-dexter-fans/

greetings Gerard

The included documentation (that is available from the extensions overview page) says:
The available parameters are:
[...]
- size - there are four options for differently sized buttons: `small`, `medium`,`standard` or `tall`.

According to this http://www.google.com/webmasters/+1/button/ it is only possible to define a width for annotation inline (which is not balloon). As the extension currently doesn't take variables for either width or type of annotation it is not possible to make this possible.
You could experiment around with putting in your own code like the link suggests. I tried that too but found out that the width behaves peculiar, if the text to be displayed can't be displayed within the width specified or even when the width is much larger nothing shows up (but that could also be due because I am testing on a testsite that obviously has no +1's).
So I guess you need to do some searching yourself.

There is no option (in the code provided by Google) to adjust the height of the balloon. We should add support for the annotation setting, but that isn't relevant to your problem.

I don't see that the buttons on the site you link to match any better than the buttons provided by PivotX. (I did test.) Please add a link to your site.
