How to change the width of the search text field

Hello,

I want to change the width of the text field used for the search box but can't find where to do that. Would you please direct me to file where I might be able to do that. Thank you.

I answered my own question.

I guess I should have looked more closely to the style.css file. I am using the Journalist theme so, at least, in this css file the rule for the width of the searchbox is the class .searchbox.
