Cann't change/alter administration

Postby SiHo » Thu Jun 14, 2012 11:23 pm

Hi folks
I can't change configuration and weblogs (may be others too, I didn't try) in administation area (v2.3.3 flat files).
Saving seems to operate but there is no effect oat the startpage (latest FF + IE).
Some ideas ?

There is no best version or so. I just referred to problems that arose with that (new) version.

Do you have messages in your logs?

There are no errors by pivotx in domain log.
Are there some 'must be'-settings in PHP-ini ?

BTW: Thanks for Your patience

Check was all green.
Fully deleted pivotx - Loaded up new - cmoded 755 (exept requested 777-dirs/files) - Check is green too
But:
- no admin changes are written to server
- some selections in admin menue switches to a new admin login

Do not understand what you mean by this.

Did you have a previous version of PivotX running? Maybe you could try the previous version 2.3.2 to determine whether this is PivotX or server related? You can find it here: http://pivotx.net/files/

This is most likely because of a cookie problem. Either the cookie is just wrong and you need to log out and log in again (or try from another computer/browser) or your firewall is modifying the cookies. Are you being logged out by PivotX when you try to change the configuration? If so, it's the CSRF protection.

PS! Search for "CSRF" in the forum for related issues.
