Gallery, Pivotx not in /

Postby Danny08 » Tue Dec 17, 2013 8:35 pm

Hey,

I installed Pivotx not in / but in /blog/pivotx/

Both galleries installed obviously take their pictures from /images/...
(absolute Link)

Well, thats the problem: my pictures are in /blog/pivotx/images/...

So the galleries-scripts seeem to take the pictures from an absolute, not relative-Link. How can this be fixed?

Thanx4help! Arne

The safest way would be to move the images folder to the desired location (next to folder pivotx).
You could try to experiment with the setting for file uploads in your configuration but I am not sure whether that will work for all code and extensions.

Why is your images folder located within the pivotx folder?

well, I've several Programs well organised one beneath the other, eg.
/
/blog/abra
/blog/cadabra
/blog/pivotix
/cms/ara
/cms/brab
...

So the images for pivotix should be in /blog/pivotix/images
and not in /images, understand?

Please be aware that PivotX also has files (like .htaccess if you use mod_rewrite and index.php which can even "bite" other installations) outside the PivotX folder.

So if you want to organise it well then PivotX could be installed like this (and that will work without any problem):
/blog/mypivx/pivotx
/blog/mypivx/images

But did you experiment with the setting of the upload folder? (So setting it to e.g. pivotx/images/%year%-%month%/ -- also read the info button then)
