Facebook like button

Hello,

I am having problems with the Facebook like functionality from my site. I have tried using the Facebook Like extension, a straight facebook like link (code generated from facebook dev site) and the sociable extension. In every circumstance the like action results in the "404 - Page not found" page being liked. I have tried hard coding the url, etc but still no joy.

FYI - I have the extensions coded into my sidebar (just incase that makes a difference).

At the moment I have all three methods on the site (only to demonstrate the problem) and you can see it at http://www.argonautcyclecoaching.com/ (located at bottom of sidebar on the right).

If anyone could provide assistance in how I can get the facebook like functionality working properly would be greatly appreciated.

The facebook developer's lint shows some errors:

These errors could influence the Like processing.

BTW your page also shows errors for the downloadable fonts you are trying to use. See the error console.

I got this working last night after some advice on adding the og meta tags. Now just need to fix my image file and it should be fine.

Re the custom fonts - thanks for picking that up. Will check it out later today.

Well I just tested it (with og meta tags in the page source) and it still showed up on FB as 404. You need to have the fb_admin tag there I think.

Also be aware that your mail address is readable in the source. Use the link tag together with encrypt to avoid that

Hello, I managed to get this working but I have some questions about this,

- is it possible to have a share button? I only see the like button.

- I would like a like button for the website and a share button for the indivudual posts, how can I accomplish this?

The share option is in another extension: Sociable http://extensions.pivotx.net/entry/12/sociable
Its lay-out is somewhat different but the FB part is a share option.
