I think the Block-generating style for [code] in the forum is fine for larger blocks of code. However, for better readybility, there should be a second style for single words or short expressions of code that are displayed inline, let's also green and fixed-width.
I'm confident phpBB supplies for that option to be implemented easy.

Hmm, I see your point. I will have a look for an existing mod to allow the desired use of code inline.

EDIT: A quick search came up empty. I'll email this thread home and have a more thorough look tonight.
